How to repair the network analyzer channel out of tolerance fault?

A network analyzer is a test device for electromagnetic wave energy. The network analyzer has many functions and is called "the king of the instrument". It is a multimeter in the field of radio frequency and microwave. From a small inductor to a giant radar, a network analyzer will be used to test its electrical performance during production testing.
As a sophisticated instrument, a network analyzer can measure extremely small errors. Fundamentals of Network Analysis Network Analysis Theory Network is a frequently used term with many modern definitions. In terms of network analysis, a network refers to a group of interconnected electronic components. One of the functions of a network analyzer is to quantify the impedance mismatch between two RF components, maximizing power efficiency and signal integrity. Whenever an RF signal is passed from one element to another, some part of the signal is always reflected and another part is transmitted. This is like light from a light source directed towards some kind of optical device, such as a lens. Among them, the lens is similar to an electronic network. Depending on the properties of the lens, a portion of the light will be reflected back to the source, while another portion will be transmitted. According to the law of conservation of energy, the sum of the energy of the reflected signal and the transmitted signal is equal to the energy of the original or incident signal.
The failure phenomenon of network analyzer maintenance:
The transmission measurement in the power-on pass-through state is normal, and the single-channel measurement is 3-5dBm lower.
The return loss curve is abnormal.
The transmission test curve in the power-on pass-through state is inverse parabola.
 possible reason:
It is most likely caused by the breakdown of the components of the receiver due to the intrusion of large signals or strong static electricity.
It may be that the protector of the signal input terminal is burned out.
Precaution:
Pre-test the signal under test connected to the test end of the network analyzer.
Improve anti-static facilities and procedures.
The above is all the sharing of Agitek Network Analyzer Repair Center (www.agitekservice.com) about the failure phenomenon of network analyzer repair. I hope it will be helpful for everyone to use this equipment in the future.
